Finding balance in college

College can feel like a juggling act between classes, work, and life. I have been working hard to stay balanced and find time for myself. Exercise, spending time with friends, and staying organized help a lot. I am learning that it is okay to take breaks and breathe. Each week I get better at managing everything and believing in myself.

National Guard and College

Being in the Army National Guard while going to college definitely keeps my schedule packed. One weekend I’m studying for exams, the next I’m in uniform fueling aircraft and supporting my unit. It’s challenging but incredibly rewarding. I’ve learned discipline, leadership, and the importance of pushing through even when things get tough. The Guard has helped me grow into someone who can handle stress and stay focused under pressure, which prepares me for any future career I choose.

Why Mental Health Matters

Mental health is just as important as physical health. I’ve learned that exercise really helps me manage stress and stay in a good mood. Even something as simple as going for a walk or listening to music helps me reset. Balancing school, work, and personal life can be tough, so I make time to take care of myself. Taking care of my mind makes me a better student and friend.

Healthy Lifestyle

Health and wellness are important parts of my daily life. I like to stay active by lifting weights, swimming, and walking to and from my classes every day. I also make sure to get enough sleep and eat healthy food to fuel my body. I've learned that taking care of your body helps your mind too. My goal is to keep building healthy habits that last a lifetime.
